A great starting point is the style - does your person usually stick to minimalist stud earrings? Or will you often find them adorned with a gorgeous pair of statement dangle earrings? When my customers ask for help choosing the perfect pair of earrings to gift, I usually tell them to look at recent photos of their person to get a better idea of their already tried-and-tested favourite option.
Are they a gold earrings girly or a silver earrings girly?
You'll want to check with your person if they are solely sworn to one colour, or if they are one of those rare chameleons that flit between gold and silver without a care in the world, flawlessly executing both. For the silver girlies, we then have the option of either original stainless steel earrings or 925 sterling silver earrings. Again, a little social media stalking should help you figure it out!
